Support Group for International Students
Coming to a new country can be hard, but you aren't alone!
This is a semester-long group intended to serve the
mental health needs of international students. It provides a safe space for
students to discuss the unique challenges of moving to a different country,
such as homesickness, acculturation, and academic and interpersonal issues. The
goal is for members to develop meaningful connections with others, find
community, and get support regarding their challenges.
Group will take place in-person on Fridays from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. beginning March 1.
The first step to joining any group is to complete an Initial Consultation appointment. Please call us at 410-455-2542 or visit the RetrieverCare portal to schedule.
For general group questions, or if you need accommodations for a disability, please send a secure message to our Group Coordinator, Lauren Mirzakhalili, LCSW-C, via the patient portal at least one week prior to the start of group and RIH will arrange for services.
All RIH services are LGBTQIA2S+ friendly and are welcoming to all diverse populations.
