Wellness Wednesday-Connecting With Nature at UMBC
Discovering Nature Connection on the Edge of Campus
Location
Administration Drive Garage : Admin Circle
Date & Time
May 9, 2022, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Description
Intentional time spent in nature benefits our mental and emotional health by reducing stress and anxiety and improving mood. Led in partnership with Nature Worx, we will take a saunter on campus and discover ways to connect with nature using all of our senses.
Over the course of our walk, we will explore several natural elements on campus that are available to us as resources and allies to help us manage the challenges that we face as students, faculty and staff. Participants will learn simple ways to mindfully access the healing properties of the natural world on campus, and anywhere outdoors.
Two sessions will run on April 22nd and may 4th from 12:00-1:00pm. This group will be meeting at the Administration Circle adjacent to the Admin Building and will explore the Herbert Run Greenway. Note: the trail can be muddy. Be sure to wear appropriate foot wear.
Space is limited - register today at: Connecting With Nature at UMBC-Rescheduled from 4/7 · UMBC Together · myUMBC
This session is rescheduled as a part of USC's 4/7 Mental Health Community Action Day.
