Physical Events

The guiding principles for this dimension are to: promote and encourage movement, exercise and active lifestyles for employees; increase the ease of use, availability and awareness of fitness opportunities and facilities on campus; educate employees on the benefits of remaining active, and the risks associated with an inactive/sedentary lifestyle; and provide information and resources for tracking/measuring participation and frequency of use in healthy activities on and off campus.

Walking/Jogging Trails on Campus

Come explore nature as you walk or jog around the UMBC campus community. Walking trails provide a great way for people of all ages to incorporate exercise into daily living. The Wellness Initiative Team at UMBC invites you to join the movement towards healthy living by engaging in low impact activities that can positively impact your quality of life.
