The guiding principles for this dimension are to: promote and encourage movement, exercise and active lifestyles for employees; increase the ease of use, availability and awareness of fitness opportunities and facilities on campus; educate employees on the benefits of remaining active, and the risks associated with an inactive/sedentary lifestyle; and provide information and resources for tracking/measuring participation and frequency of use in healthy activities on and off campus.
Walking/Jogging Trails on Campus
Come explore nature as you walk or jog around the UMBC campus community. Walking trails provide a great way for people of all ages to incorporate exercise into daily living.
